Title: Johnny Mnemonic
Director: Robert Longo
Year Released: 1995
Starring: Keanu Reeves as Johnny Mnemonic
Star Rating: 2.5/5
Thoughts: As a fan of William Gibson's work, I wanted to like this movie more than I did. That being said, it's still not a terrible film, but it's pacing is all wrong, the acting is questionable at times, and it all looks very cheaply made. I do like the strong Max Headroom vibe in some of the scenes (which I think was the idea), but it all could have just used a little extra something to make it more than just average.
Recommendations: Not really recommended, unless you want something that you can watch without really having to pay attention to. Hopefully, someday, they will make a movie that is a better representation of William Gibson's Sprawl setting.
